イヤフォンやヘッドフォンでノイズを聴く人が多いようだ。
単に音で音を防ぐだけなら普通の音楽でもよいのだが、
意味のある音楽は集中の邪魔になるので、通常は無意味な雑音が好まれる。
そういうときに便利なのが、

しかし、純粋なホワイトノイズを聴くのはあまりにサイボーグ的だし、
揺らぎや色をつけたノイズもピンとこないなあ、
と思っていたら、上記サイトのダウンロードページにいいものを見つけた。
遠くの嵐と雨の音、一時間分。しかも無料。
今日一日、（オフィスは静かだったが）試してみて、なかなか良かった。
雷が異常に嫌いという人は別だろうが、
雨音や遠くの雷鳴には何故か心安らぐ。
原始の頃の人類にも嵐は危険だったはずだが、
おそらく嵐の間は外敵も襲ってこなくて、
しばらく静かな安全が得られたのかも知れない。
